It's Back to School time!  And Happy Cakes is starting something new - Teacher Feature.  Send us an email about your favorite teacher and what makes him/her special.  At the end of each month we'll select one teacher from that month's submissions to win as our featured teacher, and the whole class wins a cupcake party to celebrate their good luck to have such an amazing teacher!  Send your submission to info@happycakesdenver.com.  We'll choose our first winning teacher at the end of September.

Happy Deeds...                         

Happy Cakes is saving the world...one cupcake at a time.  Ok, not really, but we're doing what we can!  We are really proud of our efforts to give back to our community.  We have developed some great relationships with local charities, both large and small.  To date for 2010, we've already donated well over 7,200 cupcakes in efforts to raise funds...that's more than $18,000 worth of cupcakes!  Some of the amazing organizations we've worked with are:  The Denver Zoo, Ronald McDonald House, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The Children's Hospital, Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital, Make A Wish Foundation, Tennyson Center for Children, The Denver Rescue Misson, Catholic Charities, Boys and Girls Club, Denver's Road Home, 100s of schools, and countless more!  ...because everyone deserves a little sugar!

We are also saving the Earth! (hee) We've added composting to our recycling program.  A huge amount of the waste we produce is either compostable or recyclable!  So now Happy Cakes is leaving the landfills hungry!  Many thanks to Waste Farmers.  Check them out, and join in the effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
